Tummy Soothing Ginger Tea Recipe

One of my favorite things is tea- and when you can mix health benefits with an amazing flavor, you can't go wrong.

This tummy soothing ginger tea is nice for soothing upset tummies, reducing bloating, indigestion and when you are feeling under the weather.

Tummy Soothing Ginger Tea Recipe

Ingredients

  • Fresh ginger root (about 2”)

  • Hot water

  • Lemon slices

  • Honey

Directions

  1. Pour the water into a saucepan and heat it on the stove.

  2. Grate the ginger root into the saucepan. Let it come to a boil, and then simmer for 3-5 minutes.

  3. Strain the tea into a cup with a fine mesh strainer and add lemon and/or honey as desired.

  4. Serve & Enjoy!

Tip:  If you don't want to use a grater and strainer then you can peel the ginger and thinly slice it into your cup before adding boiling water.  The pieces should be big enough that they will sink to the bottom.

Doesn't this sound yummy? Give it a try next time you have tummy troubles like gas, constipation or bloating, and let me know how it goes.
