Simplify Your Week with Stress Free Meal Prep and Batch Cooking

Meal prep can be a great way to save time, money and eat healthier. However, staying in the habit of prepping meals can be challenging. One way to make this habit easier is by creating a Sunday(or any day that works for you) meal prep system. This system will enable you to plan your meals for the week so that you have all the ingredients on hand and know exactly what to cook each day.

Once you have that time carved out, another tip is to do batch cooking. Batch cooking is a great way to save time and money while ensuring that you always have nutritious meals. It's like batching any other task – it allows you to do multiple things simultaneously, saving you time and energy. So, if you're looking for an easy way to plan weekly meals without spending hours in the kitchen daily, batch cooking might be the perfect fit.

Healthy and Simple Meal Planning Tips for Busy Women

If you are used to grabbing food on the go, or just figuring your meal once you are hungry, then meal planning can feel a little overwhelming.  Today, I'd love to share with you some of my tips I practice to help meal planning feel empowering instead of overwhelming.

The purpose of meal planning is to simplify your life, not to make it more difficult, so here’s some simple meal planning tips, even if you are busy.

Meal Planning For Busy Weeks

If life feels to be busier than ever lately or feels hard to catch up and stay ahead on your to-do list, you are not alone. In fact, it’s one of the most common complaints I hear from my clients.

If you are like me, you probably have some time carved out on the weekends to plan for the coming week -- the grocery list, your upcoming errands, housework, and appointments. However, no matter how much we plan, sometimes an unexpected turn of events can derail our day and throw us off track.

That could be caused by a kid getting sick, or in my case- my dog, or perhaps work ran late, you had to unexpectedly deal with some family stuff, or a random invite that you couldn’t turn down appeared.

But planning is still important.

Whatever it might be- even with the best intentions, the weekend planning session doesn't work out, and we begin the week without our detailed plan of action. Specifically, when meals aren't planned out for the week ahead, this can lead to a drive-thru-filled week as we grab for quick and easy options when we run out of time.

We know that doesn’t set us up for success with our health and weight loss goals, but sometimes convenience and ease take priority.

I don’t want you to give up your health goals just because life is busy- because looking ahead, you can’t be sure that is going to change anytime soon.

That's what inspired me to create what I like to call an Emergency Meal Plan.

Why Am I Always Hungry?

Why Am I Always Hungry?

Do you often feel like you are always hungry even though you know you shouldn’t be? Are you tired of eating salads?

If you do often feel hungry, you are not alone! There are many reasons to feel hungry. Of course, the most obvious one is that you are actually physically hungry. Maybe your stomach is empty, your blood sugar has dropped, and your hunger hormones are having a party. But other times, the hunger may not be actual physical hunger. It may be a craving or an emotional trigger. These are common reasons why some people eat too much. It could be brought on by a certain type of diet, stress, or other things going on in life.

It’s easy to mistake “psychological” hunger for “physical” hunger.

I’m going to talk about the difference between both of these types of hunger, and give you some tips on how to figure out which is which.
