Cherry Workout Smoothie Recipe

Do you like to work out? Do you like cherries? Check out my Cherry Workout Smoothie Recipe below!

A great way to add veggies to your daily routine is to pop them in a smoothie. It’s also a great way to have breakfast on those days that you are running late or when you need that extra boost after a workout session.

Here’s my go-to post-workout smoothie! I hope you enjoy it.

Cherry Workout Smoothie - Gaylene Gomes

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of non-dairy milk of choice

  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder of choice (unsweetened, less processed)

  • 1 handful of fresh or frozen tart cherries (frozen will have a thicker consistency)

  • 1-2 tbsp of chia seeds or hemp hearts

  • 1 handful of greens (spinach or baby kale work well here)

  • 2-3 ice cubes (more if you’ve used fresh cherries)

 Directions:

  1. Grab your favorite blender and add all the ingredients.

  2. Blend well. The consistency will depend on what you like.

You can make this smoothie ahead of time and take it along as your post-workout drink or have it as a quick breakfast alternative.
