Gingerbread Oatmeal Recipe

If you are looking to make healthier breakfasts, you will love this recipe for Gingerbread oatmeal.

It’s warm, nutritious, comfort food.

It’s also easy to make and the whole family will enjoy it! Plus, you can throw everything together in your crock pot so it’s also perfect for lazy days.

I have listed out all the ingredients for you, but check out the video and see if it looks yummy!

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups steel cut oats

  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 tbsp cinnamon

  • 2 tsp ground ginger

  • 1 tsp nutmeg

  • 2 tbsp brown sugar (if needed)

  • 1 tsp allspice

  • 2 tbsp maple syrup

  • 1/2 cup blackstrap molasses

  • 1/2 cup walnuts

  • 9 cups water

Directions:

  • Grease slow cooker with coconut oil or olive oil

  • Combine ingredients(except water) in slow cooker and stir

  • Add water, stir

  • Set slow cooker on high and cook for 3 hours.

  • Stir periodically

Optional ideas to sprinkle on top

  • Cinnamon

  • Maple syrup

  • Walnuts
