Summer is here and it's all about enjoying the outdoors and warmer weather. I’ve especially enjoyed walking with my husband and our puppy along the mountain trails near our house.

Summertime is good weather, good company and healthy, fresh foods. I have rounded up some of my favorite summer recipes from healthy salads, refreshing drinks and simple meals for you. This way you'll have more time to enjoy with family and friends.

Infusing water with fresh fruits and herbs is a yummy and healthy way to keep hydrated. Grab a big glass jug, fill it with ice water and add in your favorite flavors, some of mine are:

  • lemon and mint

  • cucumber

  • strawberry or pineapple and

  • grapefruit slices with ginger or rosemary.
