Healthy Fall Smoothie Recipes

Smoothies are often struck from the menu during the colder months. Your body usually begins to crave those warm, comforting foods such as soups, stews, and root vegetables. This means we tend to put off having our green smoothies until the weather warms up again, but you don’t have to!

Get ready to make these fall-inspired smoothies, they pack in the nutrients perfect for starting your day off on the right foot or curbing cravings during snack time. They will help you avoid the afternoon energy slump while creating that comforting fall-feel we all crave.

Apple Pie Smoothie

Heat things up with this soothing smoothie that you blend first and then warm in the microwave. It tastes just like apple pie! 

Ingredients:

  • 1 apple

  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 tsp maple syrup

  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg

  • 1/4 tsp allspice

  • 1/2 cup of water OR

  • 1/2 cup of oat milk ( or any dairy-free milk)

Blend all the ingredients. You can choose to warm this up in the microwave or have it as is. Super good for you, and satisfies that urge for warm apple pie! 

Green Pumpkin Pie Smoothie

It’s green in color, but don’t let that put you off. You have a liquid form of what tastes precisely like Mom’s pumpkin pie. 

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup of real pumpkin puree

  • 1 cup of organic spinach

  • 1/4 cup of light coconut milk

  • 2 tbsp vanilla-flavored vegan protein powder

  • pumpkin pie spice to taste

Blend all the ingredients and enjoy!

Green Apple Holiday Smoothie

If you love the taste of apples, this green apple smoothie that evokes the feel of an autumn breeze is totally for you. 

Ingredients:

  • half a banana

  • a couple of cups of kale with the stems removed 

  • 1/4 cup apple cider (the real deal, not that sugary stuff)

  • 1 cup of water

Blend the ingredients and you can use ice to make it more slushie-like. Add a dash of cinnamon, and you’re all set.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie

For those that can’t resist a bit of chocolate goodness, this chocolate peanut butter smoothie has you covered. It has tastes and the texture of a thick milkshake with no guilt on the side! 

All you need to do is blend a few tablespoons of rolled oats in your blender until they turn into a fine powder. Then blend that with Greek yogurt - or substitute with your choice of dairy-free yogurt - almond milk, ice, peanut butter powder, and cacao powder. 

Top it off with a few mini dark chocolate chips and voila! You have a satisfying and sweet treat that won’t leave you with a load of sugar to deal with.

Hearty Apple Cobbler Smoothie

Here’s one more apple smoothie that literally tastes like an apple cobbler with the crumble-like texture thanks to ground rolled oats. 

Ingredients:

  • 2 - 3 tbsp of rolled oats (blend first)

  • 1 apple

  • 1/2 a banana

  • 1/2 cup of almond milk (or your preferred dairy-free milk)

  • a dash of cinnamon 

  • a dash of nutmeg

Add the rest of the ingredients to the blended oats and enjoy!

Pear and Kale Smoothie

We know that pear and spinach is a great green smoothie combination but you definitely should give the kale substitute a try!

Ingredients:

  • 1 pear

  • 1 cup of kale - stems removed

  • 1 banana

  • 1/2 cup of water

  • 1/4 cup of almond milk

  • 1/8 tsp cinnamon

Add you the ingredients in the blender and enjoy the yummy green smoothie.

Who said being healthy didn’t have to taste good? Fall is a perfect time to enjoy a smoothie when you have these warm and comforting flavors to choose from.
